Accessible Giza Medical Clinic
Accessible Giza Medical Clinic
Many persons with mobility disabilities face significant challenges in accessing healthcare because medical facilities are often not designed to meet their accessibility needs.
To address this challenge, Ataa Fund, in partnership with the Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Foundation for Charitable Medical Services, is developing a model for accessible healthcare facilities, beginning with the Giza Clinic. The project applies the Egyptian Accessibility Code to ensure that persons with mobility disabilities can access healthcare safely, independently, and with dignity.
The initiative includes the construction of accessible entrance ramps, the renovation of wheelchair-accessible restrooms, and other physical accessibility improvements that can be replicated in medical facilities across Egypt.
